A significant share of electrical panel fires start with local heating caused by loose terminals, oxidised connections or overloaded busbars. This heating often goes on for weeks without anyone noticing.
A thermal camera placed inside the panel continuously scans the surface by dividing it into hundreds of separate points. When any point exceeds the threshold it raises an alarm, so the problem is detected without opening the cover and before a failure occurs.
